Why A Loose Diamond?

When you walk into a jewelry store, you generally expect to see a display of bracelets, another of rings, another of earrings and another and another and so on. One thing you don't expect to see is loose diamonds being displayed. Most people are not aware that many jewelers have them as an option for purchase. The finer jewelry stores, though, often do carry loose diamonds. By researching on the internet, you can even find online retailers that specialize in them.

What are the benefits of loose diamonds? Consider the following:

You know exactly what you are getting by being able to see the whole stone. It's not already trapped into a setting where you can't see the base of it.You can determine exactly the type of diamond you are looking for. You can choose the size, the clarity, the cut and the color and make your best judgment on which stone is the perfect one for you.You can put the stone into any sort of setting you want. Are you looking for an engagement ring? Perhaps one stone will suffice that is a bit larger and more brilliant. Want to create a tennis bracelet? Smaller diamonds that are of equal size may be the better option.

Diamonds are the most dense material to come from the earth and when mined, they aren't the sparkling blink they eventually become. The diamonds are cut and shaped, polished and perfected then shipped to warehouses where rings and necklaces and bracelets are created. The larger and more perfect the diamond, the higher the value of the piece of jewelry. Imagine the feeling of a handful of diamonds in your hands and it's up to you to find that one that stands out brighter than all the rest. It might not be the biggest or have the most value, but it fits you and your needs. You have the ability to custom create the perfect piece of jewelry for yourself, for a family member or perhaps even for your future bride or groom.

Finding the perfect loose diamond may not be easy, and it may take more work in the long run in creating a piece you'll love. The end result, though, is a piece made from the heart, that is unique to you and specially designed with love. It really doesn't get any better than that now, does it?
